Axa joined RADA in 2018 and became Director of Access and Participation in August 2020.

Axa is an educator and an activist. Throughout her career Axa has consistently worked towards improving positive representation in the arts. Her work is focused on youth empowerment through arts engagement. It is grounded in providing opportunities for young people, encouraging possibility and nurturing potential.

She has worked in a variety of roles managing youth arts programmes at Platform Youth Hub, Kiln Theatre, National Theatre, Young Vic, Talawa and Unicorn Theatre.

Axa has a first class honours degree in Drama and Theatre Studies with Psychology. She also completed her Masters to distinction in Applied Theatre: Drama in Educational, Community & Social Contexts at Goldsmiths University. She began her career working as an agent at Olivia Bell Management, and has worked in casting for short films, feature films and theatre.

She regularly consults on diversity and inclusion for arts organisations and delivers anti-racism training. Axa is currently on the board for the Unicorn Theatre and Uproot Productions.

In her role as RADA's Director of Access and Participation, she brings together her experience in youth engagement with her knowledge on inclusion, social mobility and access to higher education for under-represented groups.
