Access and participation

Our Youth Company brings together young people aged 16-20 interested in acting or theatre production to learn and work together.

A course for 17-23 year olds wanting to take their acting to the next level, and who are interested in future full-time drama training and/or professional work. Run in partnership with Theatre Peckham, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Young & Talented.

90-minute Shakespeare plays touring to Greater London state schools at no cost to schools. Featuring students from our BA (Hons) in Acting and Foundation Degree in Technical Theatre & Stage Management.

We work with targeted primary and secondary schools as well as further education colleges, and focus on schools that have a high proportion of students from under-represented groups. We also partner with local theatres across the UK to introduce and prepare young people for life at drama school.

We have previously linked up with Platform to deliver a course designed to help young people aged 16-19 decide if they want to apply for drama school.

Previously, we collaborated on a three-year project that provided integrated workshops and courses for participants with physical and sensory impairments. We worked to encourage disabled people into vocational training and running workshops across the UK.

We welcome potential new partners. From theatre companies, venues, arts organisations, youth groups and educational charities, we realise that partnership work gives many more people access to RADA.
