RADA short film A Heart Shaped Stone has been selected for screening at the NOLA Horror Film Festival.

The festival takes place from 20-23 September in New Orleans, and comprises a programme of films from around the world. It celebrates the craft and the art of genre film-making, in particular the genre of horror films, as well as science fiction, action, thriller and dark comedies.

A Heart Shaped Stone will be screened in a segment focused on sci-fi short films. Written by Edward Kemp and directed by Edward Hicks, and filmed on location in Orford, it follows a team investigating the mysterious deaths of a research team, found on their abandoned spacecraft. It features a cast of 2018 RADA Acting graduates, with film production support from our Technical Theatre and Stage Management students.

The RADA short films have a strong record of representation at film festivals around the world, with previous films screened in Germany, Ireland and across the USA, as well as here in the UK.
